Mayor's Private Residential Communities Advisory Board Below
are the summaries from recent meetings of the Mayor's Private
Residential Advisory Board meeting. Irv Leveson and John Walter are representatives
from Westlake to this monthly meeting with the Mayor to advise him of issues
and situations that impact Westlake. There are reps from the
other private communities in Jackson.
If
anyone in Westlake has something to bring to the Mayor, please contact John Walter (732-961-7287) or Irv Leveson (732-833-0380).
The other channel is to bring the item to the attention of our Community Manager or the Master Board, which Irv and
John consult regarding issues from our community.

We continue to encourage moving ahead with revaluation of our homes for tax purposes,
and we got the Men’s Club to become a member of Citizen’s for Property Tax Reform,
which is working for a more equitable state-wide solution.
We need to control growth so that our taxes don’t skyrocket from costs of education
and our roads and services don’t become overwhelmed. Important steps have been taken,
but much more residential building could come.
